February 10, 2015 by Puff 'n Stuff Catering

If the path to your lover's heart is via the stomach, our sumptuous four-course menu will pave the way to a fine romance. Food and love have always been inextricably tied, and nothing says 'I love you' better than an intimate candlelit dinner in the comfort of your own home while being served by one of our professional Chefs.

We have all the makings for a dreamy night in, starting with the first course: Grilled Romaine Salad. Fresh heads of romaine lettuce are split, grilled until charred and smoky, and then topped with savory blistered tomatoes and truffle croutons. The crisp salad is served with a house made Caesar dressing and finished off with shaved, locally sourced Parmesan cheese from Winter Park.

The second course, consisting of mouthwatering Pistachio Crusted Scallops, will leave you starry-eyed. The jumbo scallops are brined, crusted in roasted pistachios, and seared until golden brown. The salty, savory flavors of the succulent scallops work in perfect harmony with the smooth dollop of pureed sweet potato, the slight tartness of the balsamic-apricot glaze, and the crunchiness of the fried leeks garnished on top.

As if the tantalizing tastes of the first two courses didn’t already take your breath away, Porcini Crusted French Lamb Chop Milanese takes the spotlight on our Valentine’s Day menu. The lamb chops in the main course are coated in a dried porcini mushroom powder, seared in a screaming hot pan with Marsala wine and cooked to perfection in the oven. This dish is unique due to the absence of starch from rice or potatoes, and instead is served with nutritionally superior white beans. Subtly flavored yet full in fiber, the beans are infused with rosemary and thyme before they’re sautéed with fresh herbs. The full-body taste of the creamy, cheesy ragout is served alongside candied tomatoes; made with a brown sugar, cinnamon, clove reduction and sweet Vidalia onions.

It all comes down to dessert. This is where decadence comes to the forefront of the dish – sweet, rich and indulgent. What better way to conclude a romantic Valentine's Day dinner than with an enchanting Dark Cherry and Dark Chocolate Torte?

Valentine’s Day is always about sharing; it’s about intimacy. Turn up the heat this year with our four-course dinner, designed exclusively for you and your sweetheart to share. Dim the lights, put on some music, and leave the rest of the work to us. Contact us by February 11th to reserve your ideal Valentine’s Day dinner – availability is limited!
